Abstract
Human Resource Management is a multidisciplinary organizational
function, dealing with effective management of people at work. In this
case organizational climate especially the HRD climate has a major
role to play. Organizational climate (sometimes known as Corporate
Climate) is the process of quantifying the “culture” of an organization. It
is a set of properties of the work environment, perceived directly or
indirectly by the employees, that is assumed to be a major force in
influencing employee behavior. Organizations having the best climate
can achieve their objectives in the most effective way. The paper mainly
discusses the HRD climate with reference to OCTAPACE profile in TATA
Power-Thermal Power Generating Station, Trombay, Navi Mumbai
