Abstract

Digital and social networking media have become an integral part of human life; people,
even kids, spend significant time on digital and social media. Socialization, culture, communication
and learning are deeply impacted by digital and social media. This research paper finds impact of
digital and social media on children in the age group 3 to 6 years; it uses exploratory and
confirmatory factor analysis (EFA and CFA) to study the impact of digital and social media on
children. This research study concluded twenty variables grouped into five factors, having impact
of digital and social media, grouped and named as child’s behavior, child’s psychology, academic
development, socio-cultural development and parents’ behavior.
